With the participation of over 700 attendees plus a number of personal interviews, the Managing Director of Economy, Luis Lanaspa, closed the VII International Meeting of Arex Representatives this evening, which had been held on 1st and 2nd of February at Hotel Hiberus in Zaragoza.
This new event has confirmed the success of the new format, which doubled its extension at this edition and the number of sponsors has increased, holding 33 conferences and round tables recording 2000 registrations by representatives of Aragon-based companies. The interviews with the representatives of the public company Aragon Exterior, which have served to provide advice about markets in more than 50 countries around the world, continued to be the central theme of the event.
Likewise, the high level of the speakers was proven by the attendance at the talks about different subjects related to exports and international trade. Some of the more notable speeches were “How to boost your exports with Amazon”, by the sales services director of the Internet giant, and “The impact of Brexit and US elections on the growth of the global economy” by Javier Rillo, Analysis Director of Ibercaja Management, among others.
The event sponsors, namely Ibercaja, Bankinter, DHL, JCV and Operinter took an active part in all the activities over the two days.
The event was opened on Wednesday 1st February by the Councillor of Economy, Industry and Employment, Marta Gastón, and on this occasion the central topics were electronic commerce and sales logistics. Attendance by France as the first guest country at the event is worthy of mention mention, as one of the main strategic partners in the marketing of products made in Aragon.
Brexit and the arrival of Donald Trump in power in the United States were the central topic for the networking conversations, which were intense over the two day event.
When closing the Event, the Managing Director of Economy, Luis Lanaspa emphasised the importance of internationalisation on the road towards the new productive model.
