The Aragon Regional Government has set up a new programme of grants under the framework of the Aragon brand, Logistics Platform through the public companies group linked to this sector and in conjunction with Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC). The Board of Directors of the companies Plaza, Platea, Plhus and Expo Zaragoza Empresarial, this week chaired by the Councillor of Economy, Industry and Employment, Marta Gastón, approved the agreements through which a new line of support would be created to seek excellence in logistics in Aragon. These agreements will also count on the participation by Fraga Logistics Platform, and will serve to channel public funds assigned to promoting and disseminating top-level studies and experiences in logistics. The budget to be assigned to this initiative amounts to 70, 250 Euros, and among other items will help to promote the image of Aragon as a logistics brand and the excellence of its professionals. Within this context, the effort will focus on sponsorship by the Summer Academy in Logistics Supply Chain Management, an event with huge impact among logistics managers in the main international companies. This event will be held in Zaragoza next year and will bring together experts from the most outstanding companies in the sector, who will describe their experiences with developments applied in their companies concerning this part of their international business. Likewise, the programme managed by the companies pertaining to the Corporación Empresarial Pública de Aragon, linked to logistics, considers a total of ten training grants at ZLC. One of them will be to finance 50% of a Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG), three for other Masters courses at ZLC and the others will be for specific training by newly qualified graduates and further training of employees.
