ORGANIZATIONAL REGULATIONS OF THE CORPORATION
Incorporation of Aragón Plataforma Logística
ARAGÓN PLATAFORMA LOGÍSTICA (APL) is the parent company of the new logistics-industrial group of the Aragon Regional Government. It is responsible for integral and centralized management of the group of autonomous trading companies, which promote and market logistics and industrial assets and for tertiary use, as well as public and autonomic assets (logistic-industrial platforms, land, infrastructures, etc.).
APL is a fully autonomy-owned company, invested in through the Corporación Empresarial Pública de Aragón, S.L.U., its sole shareholder. As such, it will belong to the Grupo Corporación (Corporate Group), a business holding of the Aragon Regional Government.
This new sectoral group structure aims to optimize and streamline these logistics, industrial and tertiary use assets at all levels. It seeks to develop joint commercial management under an identity and a single brand, centralize decision-making in different companies and simplify their the governing bodies.
The incorporation of the APL company considers the creation of committees open to the participation of other public or private entities, with significant logistics actions and interests. It ultimately seeks to give voice to the concerns, which in the widest sense, can be transferred by companies set-up in Aragon, and logistics infrastructure managers and companies that provide services within the framework of the sector activities.
The companies forming part of this new logistics-industrial-tertiary group are:
- EXPO ZARAGOZA EMPRESARIAL, S.A.
- PLATAFORMA LOGÍSTICA DE ZARAGOZA, PLAZA, S.A.
- PLHUS PLATAFORMA LOGÍSTICA, S.L.
- PLATEA GESTIÓN, S.A.
- PLAZA DESARROLLOS LOGÍSTICOS, S.L.
- SOCIEDAD PARA EL DESARROLLO DE CALAMOCHA, S.A.
Other assets of the same nature can be incorporated in these companies currently located in other companies of the Corporate Group.
In creating APL, several actions are contemplated, which aim to reinforce its role as the economic development driving force of Aragon.
Firstly, on request by and depending on the APL Board of Directors, the creation of an Advisory Council for the Integral logistics Development of the Autonomous Region of Aragon is proposed, which will be a participatory and consultative body. The purpose of this participation instrument will be to provide representation to other public or private entities with significant logistics actions and interests. The majority of them are signatories of the Letter of Commitment to the integral logistics development of the Autonomous Region.
The creation of Aragón Plataforma Logística plans to form permanent Coordination Committees with local councils and territorial entities, with outstanding logistics actions of the Region. This initiative will facilitate a smoother relationship among institutions, in order to capitalize on the recruitment work of petitioners of land, industrial units or tertiary sector areas. It also hopes to streamline urban planning and other types of procedures, which will result in greater appeal to set-up or develop projects. These bilateral Committees will be used to periodically follow-up the evolution of these platform activities. They will be able to transfer to the Aragón Plataforma Logística's Board of Directors and Advisory Council, the initiatives or measures it deems appropriate, to encourage the arrival of new business and for the development of those already established.
